when i burn a vcd. my dvd player plays the movie in black and white. how can i convert the movie file to watch the movie in coulours

This sounds like a PAL/NTSC mismatch. Your player will play either format but your TV must support it. Check the players menu options and manual to see if it can convert from one to the other. My Panasonic RV41 will output NTSC movies as PAL60 (Pal signal but 60 fields per second rather than the normal 50).

I have a 343, it plays NTSC/PAL no probs but I can't find anything in the players menu that will do a conversion... an NTSC\PAL disk conversion is possible (so they tell me
), but is hardly worth the effort for the headaches it causes
