Aiwa XD-Dv480 can he play SVCD?PLEASE HELP!

Hi!!!
My Problem is that i have bought for some month The
Aiwa Xd-Dv480 DVD Standalone Player!!!
For a few month i dont know that i also need SVCD and
here is my problem!!
The Player can only play VCD and not SVCD!!!
So i heard from region hacks and i did the hack which
i can see the Firmware version and that my DVD Player
has the region 2!!
So i want to know if i can anything do to hack the DVD
to look also SCVD on this DVD player!!
i came on this idea because i see in a forum that a
person wrote that the player can play those SCVD but
only on a region 3 machine
