  1. Why is it take so long to rip and burn dvd. I keep hearing if the dvd is over 4.7g. You compress it. but the process takes like 5 to 10hour min. Isn't it easier just to put it on 2 dvdr. You have to waste and extra disc but. Doesn't the time it save worth it. Dvd are like 1 dollar each now. I rather spend an extra dollar than to waste 5 to 10hour even more trying to compress it.

Well if your one of the people with a DVD player that can Play these 1 dollar disk (usually closer to a buck sixty actually) then I guess thats well and good, but I've run into alot that will not. Such as mine... my friends, my parents, and my brothers, so instead I use the 3 dollar disk that seem more compatible for my situation. Because the disk are 3 dollars each I cut and cut until it fits on one, besides who likes switching disk around mid movie?

  3. I was just trying to save people time. I just think it's just not worth it spending so many hours to encode the movie to one disc to save 1 sec to swap a dvd disc. in the player. I bought a dvd player at bestbuy that play pretty much every backup I put in it. include vcd and svcd for 60 bucks. I'm in it for the long run. I burn like 8 dvd a day. Yes most are all dvd_9 so I have to split them up. Yes you have to spend more disc. But if you buy it in pack it's very cheap. I bought a pack of 100 dvd-r for like 1.08 each with free shipping. For those who are interest in the setup I have to burn and play them. Let me know, I will give you more detail. Cuz I know everyone have a different setup on how they burn and play all their movies. On avg. I rip and burn a dvd_9 on 2 dvd-r about 1 hour and a half.

  4. If I extended your logic, it becomes far betterto buy the orig DVD title than waste time doing any ripping/burning. PPl will do what suits
    them and their budget.
