  2. Adelphia Powerlink is cable. It is very fast. For me anyways. Sometime it depends on where you live.

I have no clue how long....
Get it and figure it out.......

I've had powerlink now for almost a year. With the 'right' conditions, I can get downloads at 300k-500k/s. Of course, this is only with the servers at the other end able to upload at that speed. If your looking to get this kind of speed with kazaa, grokster or whatever...forget it. Most people are with 56k dial-up or worse. Just gotta look around. But at least now you'll have a chance. If, however, you're looking to go FTP or IRC then you've got something.
    Have a good one,

  4. Cable in general is VERY quick compared to 56K, hell going to the server yourself is faster than a 56K modem. I dont have adelphia, I use ATTBI. I get average speeds of 75-130KB/sec web browsing. Now if I hook onto a really fast server, I can puch it to 400-600KB a sec. thats like half a megabyte a second! Is that fast enough. It all depends on the server. Even if you have a T1 but he is only feeding out at 10KB/sec, thats all you'll get nomatter what.
