I now have a Cable Modem so lots of speed now but am hampered by all the slowpokes on Kazaa. Is there such a thing as a File Sharing service for High Speed users only? I'm tired of driving a Race Car & downloading at 10 KBPS!![]()
What File Sharing Service do you use or can Recommend? Anybody use like MIRC or Newsgroups?

try Imesh you don't even need cable and you can get great speeds.
When you download you are getting it from multiple users so you can add up all there speeds to get one fast speed.
Winmx is trying the same thing but still has a few bugs to work out as far as movies go, but I downloded a popular song the other day at 235kbs now hows that for a race car. hopefuly the movies will go the same way soon.
I'm learning where to get fast downloads on mirc seeing as everyone says you get better qualitydwds fro using irc.
Talk to you soon

p.s. read my post "can winmx version 3.2 rule the world" in the off topic sectionWe were all NEWBIES once and the only stupid question is the one that's not asked? -
Thanks VCD4ME:
Does Imesh have a lot of Advertising & Spyware?
How is your experience going with MIRC? I have the Software but have not tried it yet, I may soon though.

I have tried it all. The problem with the file sharing programs is fakes soon become part of the community. IMesh is better than Kazaa for connection speed and has less fake movies. Right now there is a newer film that is not as it is described going around on IMesh. Kazaa is 50 times worse about fake movies so I use it for music instead. With Mirc you get what you are looking for, but you have to wait or serve as a person that can be downloaded from. With cable it is good because cable is really stable so you just get in line and get it when it is your turn. Nothing is ever fake on Mirc. As for ads, IMesh claims to be spy free, but instead of spyware it has more pop-ups than a porn site! With cable I try everything and end up going to an XDCC channel on Dalnet because the XDCCs are easiest to use.

cleanclients.com has a version of Imesh without spyware.
Direct Connect is for high speed users with big hard drive. Some hubs require like 60 gigs of share to get in.
