geforce2 v geforce4

anybody got any of above cards for viewing on tv?i have geforce2 64mb with composite/svhs out,and when connecting to vcr using composite i get black border all the way around the screen.i am told by a friend that his geforce 4 does not have any black border.i have been to vcdhelp.com where it says to get rid of the black border a program called tvtools is needed, but unfortunatley is a shareware program.any views or help on this card?,or other ideas to get rid of the black border.thanks ian

I have a geforce2gts 64mb and there is no black border for me. Mine works fine. All i can say is to make sure you have the latest detonator drivers.

The problem could be overscan, on a TV the guns sweep past what you see on the front of the screen, some overscan more than others. On my old Sanyo there's almost no overscan and the borders from my GF2gts are quite noticable, on my nice new Toshiba there's so much overscan the borders are almost nothing.
