  1. I need a little help. I have a DVD+R burner and have a 1:21 divx movie. I followed the newbie guide to convert it to a mpg vcd file and burn it to a CD-R. I extracted the audio and used TMPG to create the mpg output. Halfway or earlier through the movie the audio gets out of sync. I dont understand why. Also, shouldnt the movie fit on 1 80 Minute CD-R since I shaved off a couple of minutes. When I created the mpeg file is is 797 megs. Should I be burning this to DVD instead? Thanks for the feedback.

  2. Fraid I cant explain your sync probs with the info you provide but I would guess that the framerate of the avi does not match the framerate of the TmpGenc VCD template you are using. Make sure the two match.

As for File size, a VCD is 10Mb=1min so 80min = 800Mb. VCD's are burnt to CD in a different format from normal CDROM data disks so more data can fit on the disk. Thats how an 80Min VCD can fit on what is normally considered a 700Mb CD! Just make sure you use your burning software correctly and that it supports VCD format burning. Thats why many people here recomend Nero!

    Good Luck
