Go to \windows\inf\other and delete any .inf's that have aver in their names.

Go to device manager, sound, video and game controlers.
Remove any devices that say aver.

Reboot and windows will find the devices again and ask for drivers.

Keep in mind if you used the WDM drivers, Vdub will not work, unless you can get the wrapper to work, which I could not. If you still have trouble removing the drivers. Use the BTWinCap removal software
    http://btwincap.sourceforge.net/

This removes any/all capture card drivers. Aver gave me this link to some other drivers to try for the cap card.

If your using 98, you can install webtv from the Win98 CD.
This give a legacy VFW driver that VDub can use with the aver.
    Your limited on resolution though.
Win2K installs legacy video cap drivers automagically.

Do a search on this site. I can't remember. But you'll have to update your registry to get it to work. Like I said i could really never get it to work properly. The VCR would work (MPEG2), but VDUB was restricted to the 240 resolution, and High res. caps would skip frames.

Look at the other topic you posted to for the VFW driver.
