which one should i use....cd-r's...or cd-rw's...!?!?!

Okay, well...i just went to circuit city, and i asked a couple of employees if Memorex cd-rw's would be compatible with my Sony DVP-S530D DVD player and they told me to buy TDK CD-R's...which one's should i use?? Also, i formatted my movie into an MPEG, and i'm not sure if my DVD player supports it....

According to common consinsus: It will play VCD but not SVCD.
It works with very few CDR's with the STI Digital Media CDR's (circuit city brand) working most of the time....but not in every unit. And most CDRW's work....so ther ya hav it.

since the DVD Player list here says your player does not support CDRs but does support CDRW's, I would go with the RW's.
be careful with Memorex...I bought 25 pack of their 80 minute RW's, and 7 of them didn't work. I sent them a nasty email, though, and they sent me 10 new ones
