just wondering why in this country they sell vcd/svcd compatible dvd players(but not vcds) like they do online or in the U.S.A? i have not seen or heard of anyone buying vcds in a retail store?![]()

Because a lot of people want the compatability for discs they make themselves. As, far as I know original VCD's only really took off in Asia.
