Hello,
I want to ask you where I can find a good documentation about Winsubmux. Because in this forum I get a little confused. One says this and the otherone that.
I want to add subtitles(.sub) to my svcd using winsubmux.
I opened the mpg file and opened 2 subtitles, but then I dont know what to do. So If you guys could tell me where i can find a good starting documentation I'm pleased.

Ok, I found some stuff that has helped me out a bit.
I first converted the .srt format to .ssa. Then I used MaestroSBT to convert it to the submux format and saved the bmps. I put everything in one folder (movie, winsubmux, bmp's and the subtitle) like I've been told. Then I opened winsubmux and opened the .mpg and the .sub file. I loaded all the bmp's. So I'm almost ready to muliplex, but I can't preview the .mpg because I didn't encode my movie myself. I downloaded the svcd file from mirc. So how can I see my movie and edit my subtitles? And the second question. I downloaded a .sub subtitle which not is a submux format. So how can I convert it to a submux format? I know how to convert .srt to .ssa and then to submux format. But do I have to convert the .sub to .ssa or .srt and then to .sub(mux)? I would like some help to my final step to complete my first (working) svcd.

You can convert *.sub (vobsub, microDVD) to *.ssa with subresync(vobsub package) or use subtool for sub2srt conversion and srt2ssa for srt 2ssa conversions.
To preview the subs in WinSubMux create a dvd2avi project of the MPEG-2 file.

Ok , I'll give it a try. So now I have to convert it back to avi to preview the movie and subs? I was glad that i downloaded a mpg file that I didn't have to encode again. Too bad. Thanks for helping me.

No, you just have to create a dvd2avi project.

Yes I got that.
I did everything like the guide told me:
I opened the .mpg then video/field Operation and set it to None. Then pressed F5 to preview, then i looked at the framerate(29,970), VIDEOTYPE=FILM 99%, so I checked video/field operation/forced film. Then they talk about audio demuxing if I ripped the dvd which I didn't, so then I just picked tracknr1(don't know if this is correct?). Then I cked color space/YUV, and finally I saved the project to blackhwk.d2v.
Then I waited till it was finished. I opened winsubmux and the steps in my 2nd post, then I went to the preview tab to open the d2v project. I got an error:"access violation at address 1001E5A5 in module in MPEG2DEC.dll(which I put in the winsubmux folder) write of address 00000001". So I'm stuck again. Could it maybe be something with the audio, which I don't think? -
Everything I try doesn't work. I still get this error when I try to open the d2v file. I put everything in 1 folder. The .mpg, .sub, .d2v, winsubmux and MPEG2DEC.dll. What could be the problem? Maybe the version? I use winsubmux v0.2.0.2. Please help me again like you did before. In the meantime I will search for answers.
