  2. its easier to help answer you question if you ask exactly what you want to do. If you have allready encoded a movie, if you downloaded one, what format, mpg avi, ect, vcd, svcd, what do you want to do. what have you read. probably not very much, or maybe not the right stuff??????

According to the dvd player list--> http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdplayers.php
your player accept CD-R and plays (X)VCD.
You have TMPGEnc, convert your movie to .mpg (MPEG-1)--->
    http://www.vcdhelp.com/convert,htm
    http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdripping.htm
You have Easy cd creator, burn the .mpg as VCD-->

  5. If you already have the file in an mpeg 1 format, you can simply going into Easy CD Creator, select "VCD" as the option (might need to go Start -> Programs -> Adaptec -> Utilities -> Video CD Creator).

I also have a Sony DVD Player S530D ... it didn't like Easy CD's way of burning. I got Nero, works like a charm.

Let me know how your DAV-S300 works, and what brand of CD-R you're using. A friend of mine has the same seutp.

A .bin is a image file. You can burn it straight to CD with Nero, CDRWIN or Fireburner (there are demos availeble).
Maybe the .mpg is a mpeg2. You should start with a standard VCD MPEG-1, because Sony tends to make trouble.
To see the properties of the .mpg open TMPG> file> mpeg tools> multiplex and add the .mpg. You see MPEG-1, 352x288 or 352x240, 25 or 29,97 fps 1150kbps?
If these are the properties of your .mpg, you can burn it as Video-CD as explained at http://www.vcdhelp.com/easycd.htm step by step. Use a CD-RW!
If not, I recomment to reencode with TMPG. Make sure, you load a vcd.mcf template.
Let me know, whether it works.

  7. thanks guys....ill try nero, sounds like it will work better than easycd. DREDD-did you try anything out on your friends sony? Did anything work? mine doesnt even play music cdr....i think im going to buy some cdrw and try some stuff out. It gets expensive doing this stuff with cdr and it not working. Let me know if you have tried anything on your friend's sony...ill make sure ill try it if it works, if not then ill definitely stay away from that.
