For some strange reason CinemaCraft SP 2.50 doesn't want to convert on my system. I'm on Windows 98 SE. When i start the encoding, it gives me an Explorer error and I can't do anything. IF anybody has a solution, please respond.
Thanks in advance![]()

I would suggest calling the software company and ask them. I use to have the Sony Supressa software and got error messages, they were able to help me within 5 mins.
I have no clue what wrong? Probably cheap software?? That could be it.... I got away from the computer and got a stand alone VCD recorder, No time at all I can record anything from TV DVD or VHS...
Its so much better.

This is perhaps the most frequently asked question about CCE, CCE crashes right off bat, usually when loading an AVS or VDR file. I have been frustrated by it and search all over for solutions. This is what you should do:
1. Close CCE or Restart your computer then load it again.
2. Turn off Audio in the template you are using.
3. Turn off /on AVIproxy in VirtualDub.
4. If you are able to load normal avi clips, but not AVS or VDR. Save your .ecl file and reopen it with Notepad, replace avi file with AVS or VDR in input source, save it and open it with CCE. This should work around the crash problem. Of course, you need to know the frame count of your source.
5. If all above can't help you, perhaps you need to call folks at Custom Technology -
I'm trying to work with AVI, not the Virtualdub frameserving, but still, it didn't fix anything
Thanks for the help anyway
Anybody have other suggestions? CCE SP 2.50 just crashes for no reason when I hit the encode button :/

Take this as constructive criticism, but with a Subject like you have here I'm suprised anyone bothers to read your post
If your subject isn't informative - the results you will get are nilyour pal,
Stinky -
Well, stinky, I'm going to tell you something. I'm sure people have looked at this post. (Only way I could actually get replies) I tried putting my problem on the subject, but nobody ever replied! So I had to take desperate measures (that's obvious). Well, anyway, what I was going to tell you was, that if people haven't replied with a concrete answer to my question, It's because nobody has an answer! Not because my subject wasn't "informative". I'm asking for help here, not trying to get people to discuss about the problem. Anyway, I got my problem solved. And the name is XP. Apparently CCE 2.50 and 98 don't get along (I know a lot of people with the same problem). But after I switched to XP< I only have one problem: CCE 2.50 locks up when loading avs files. But I'm sure there's a soluition for that problem 8)
