TV-out svcd with dxr2

Here's my problem, I just moved and now don't have a TV where my computer is. I used to use the tv-out function of my grfx card before, but it's a bit hard to navigate without seeing the picture (since if I switch to tv-out, I don't have an image left on my monitor).

I have a mpeg card, but mostly, it doesn't work well with svcd, only vcd.
The card I have is the dxr2 that came with my Creative Encore 5x.

Does anyone know of a software that works with vcd and svcd (maybe even divx?) and can use the tv-out function of my mpeg card?
I've tried a few but not found any that works with dxr2. (other than the software that came with it)

Forgot... I'm running win2k.

Have you any programs like windows movie maker thats on winXP?if not this will not help. If you have you can view the video output on screen at the same time your tv.
