I take it you are using Mpeg (VCD).
or maybe avi?
If you have the whole film as 1 file it needs to be split.
If it is an avi use TMPGen to split the file in half.
Or use Roxio Video pack this will show the whole file but you can select what parts you want. -
If you set any of the authoring programs, movie range, they will only use the part you select, so they could be used to make the first cd, then select the rest for the second cd. However doing this will force the program into splitting the file, this usually is quite fast as they just split the audio and video and re-join them before use.
But they ALL make a right mess of it, including Video Pack 5.1 So it is best to split the AVI into 2 with Vdub, or split the mpeg with TMPGEnc
The mpeg should be correct before you add them to Nero, Video pack etc or you will have problems with lip sync, missing video, missing sound and a whole lot of mess.
TMPGEnc does a good job of splitting mpeg's provided they are fault free, otherwise split the AVI at key frames with Vdub before encoding with TMPGEnc.
