  1. Are there ways that I can fit more than 80 minutes of video on a 80min. CD-R media? (VCD)

I use TMPGEnc for mpeg conversion. I just use the basic templates. Are there ways to save disk space (or something like that) to make the file smaller, hence more time to fit?

I use Nero for burning to VCD. How much time can it handle if I overburn? Or is overburning not recommended?

I need about 86 minutes of video to fit into a single cd. Is it possible? Or do I need 90min. CD-R?

  4. I need help again. I encoded using a lower bitrate then burned to nero. What was a 23:30 video now became 17:02 according to my VCD players. My (generic) VCD player won't play the video in the right speed. It skips frames and sounds. My (original) VCD player got the right speed and sounds, though it still shows 17:02 time...

Basically, I could now tweak so that 86 minutes of video can be burned into one VCD. Problem is not all VCDs support it. Is there another way, or maybe a setting I need to know in TMPGEnc in order to prevent this incompatibility?

  5. if you lowered th bitrate..you time should gotten longer no shorter. Sounds like you raised the bitrate, which is why you may be getting the skips. If your player is that strict at only playing at VCD standard and no Xvcd, you are out of luck, either move ot a 99 min CDR/W or use an extra disk.
