I just finished making a SVCD, but when I try to burn it, DVD Workshop gives me these errors.
"DVDWS has caused an error in GODVDBASE.dll. DVDWS will now close." or
"DVDWS has caused an error in MSVCRT.dll. DVDWS will now close."
Can anyone help, the SVCD has menus, and the movie format is mpeg2.
And I have DVD Workshop full not trial.

Uninstall then reinstall it.
Defrag your comp.
SEems like a system resource problem. I've made 30+ svcd's to date with Ulead DVD Workshop. -
What type of format do you use before you make it into a svcd with dvd workshop.
-I use Mpeg 2
-Weird enough i can make SVCDs from Avi files. So i dont think its my system. But ill try what you said. -
Tried it, Defraged my computer, checked for errors.
Im running a pretty good computer;
AMD 1 ghz
256 Ram
28 gigz
Win Me
I even tried replacing the Msvcrt.dll file, but no luck.
I dont think its my computer because other Avi files are succesful in the SVCD burning process. -
Try reinstalling windows media player. One of your last installed media filters is conflicting with your system. Get the latest version from microsoft's site.
Also while you are there check if you have the latest visual basic runtime libraries (vbrun). It doesn't hurt to update them as well. Many of the programs you find on the net need them, and often they install an outdated version.
Also find the "godvdbase.dll" file. Check it doesn't appears twice on your hard drive. If so, delete the oldest. Stick to the newest and and right clik on it. Click the "properties" tab and if it is marked as read-only, hidden, uncheck that.
If it doesn't still work, and you are an advanced user, you can uninstall DVD WS, restart the pc, and edit your system registry deleting every reference to "godvd.dll" and "Ulead". ONLY IF YOU ARE AN ADVANCED USER!! Editing windows registry is very dangerous.
If not, I suggest you to reinstall windows from scratch. In this industry, Sadly, The future was yesterday. -

I dont encode straight from AVI's however, I only use encoded mpg2. -
I tried everything you guys suggested, no luck. And reinstaling Win Me is out of the question, because I have a lot of software that I would have to reinstall.
I still dont understand, it works with Avi files, but not with Mpeg 2 files. My mpeg 2 files were decoded with LSX mpeg codec. -
Ok, I think i found out my prob, I was messing with my project and I cut to movie in half, I went to the final tab, and press make CD, and FINALLY the burn dialogue box comes out, so i think its the file size, but its only a 600 meg mpeg 2 file, but DVD Workshop thinks its an 800 meg mpeg.
How can I fix this.
