    why the hell don't they just release with ntsc ar?

    i can't correctly convert the pal to ntsc... i am trying to put it on a dvd-r. i have tried lots of different ways, followed all kinds of tutorials, and nothing works as planned. i can get my disks to play in my pc dvd software, but on a standalone or ps2 they refuse to play.

    too many hours have been spent unsuccessfully... i'm getting discouraged.

    PS2 plays DVD-R? Do ya need a mod chip or does it work like that out of the box? I wish it would play VCD's.
