  1. I made a Video CD using Virtual Dub and Tmpegenc. I always extract the sound to WAV before encoding to MPEG1.

I made a CD today and before burning in EasyCD I got an error saying that the Video CD could be burnt, but would not play in a DVD player. I burnt it anyway to test my new writer and to my suprise it played fine in my Pioneer DVD player.

But I cued forward and press play again but there was no sound, only pictures. I stopped the CD and played again and there was sound. I let the CD play to the point I previously cued to and the sound was fine?!?

The same happened when I rewound - no sound (where there previously was when I just played past it).

    Anyone experienced this before??!

I have a pioneer dv525 and have the same problem. It hasn't annoyed me enough to find a fix, but its not just you or your machine. I read somewhere that there was a file you can insert at burn time that will allow you to FFD and RWD but I'm not 100% sure --check the tools section maybe. good luck.
