  1. I've got an Apex 5131 and unfortunately a really old TV with only the coax input, so I have to play my DVDs via the VHS.

Now, due to macrovision I can't get a decent picture so I need an "Image Stabilizer" or a new TV (which I don't fancy!) or a new DVD player...

So does anybody know where I can get a cheap Image Stabilizer in Australia?? Or is it possible to connect the DVD directly to the TV via some sort of adapter???

    Thanks for your help,

You might be able to disable Macrovision on your player with a simple "flash" firmware upgrade. Go to www.nerd-out.com/forum/search.php and ask around.

My player is a Hiteker AD-700 which is made by the same company as Apex and I was able to disable Macrovision easily with a CD-R flash upgrade, so hopefully you might be able to do the same.
