DVD-RW gets a major boast in a new burner

This drive it seems will support DVD-R burning at 4x and DVD-RW burning at 2x. The drive has bufferunderun protection and reads DVD-RO's at 16x


It also seems it will support CD-R at up to 40x and CD-RW at 12x. It has burn proof system.

It also can burn 1.3 gigs onto a normal 700meg CD-R, but you'll need a firmware upgrade for other players to read this.

This is shaping up to be a major drive.

The 4X spec has not been finalized yet. I would not rush out to but this drive until it is.
