After ripping a complete DVD to my hard drive, I transcode the VOB files, when they are too large, at a lower bitrate so that the movie will fit on a DVD-R. What I want to know is, is it possible to change the size of the VOB files, and somehow make appropriate changes in the .ifo files (possilby with ifo edit?) to reflect the new sizes of the VOB files? If this is possible how do you do it?
I think knowing how to do this would be very useful when it comes to preserving the original menu structure while using a lower bitrate movie so that it can all fit on a DVD-R. Thanks for any input.
