Can anyone reccomend the best audio settings for DVD2AVI?
When I rip a movie, it's dos'nt sound as good as the original. If I play the VOB file, it sounds great, but when it goes through DVD2AVI, it sounds like it has lost something, it's quieter, and sort of flatter.... anyone know what I mean?

    Thanks, Tool Man.

  2. It did loose something, you probably compressed it quite a bit. First keep the audio freq at 48000khz, and what codec are you using. If mp3, keep it to like 128kbps if you want good results. 96kbps is the lowested I would ever go.

I tried the audio options in DVD2AVI, but there dos'nt seem to be many.
From what I can tell, you can set it to Dolby Digital, MPEG Audio, or LINEAR PCM, but the only one that works, as in creates an audio file, is Dolby Digital. Do any of the options like Demux, or Decode make a difference to sound quality?
