I am looking to get a capture/tv card but have a question. A friend loaned me his WinTV PCI card and everything went well, except the audio was WAY out-of-sync when capturing (ok when just viewing). Someone told me it may be my soundcard, there was a known sync problem with the Creative Labs AWE64. Can anyone confirm this? Do I need to replace my soundcard in order to do accurate capturing? I've tried both WindowsXP native drivers and Creative Labs, same problem. Is there a capture card that handles both audio & video, bypassing the soundcard?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I'm not exactly sure about the AWE64 exactly, but I remember reading about a heap of problems trying to sync when using any ISA card and PCI card - eg PCI capture - ISA sound
considering the number of cheap PCI sound cards out there it might be time to send the AWE to the glue factory
I had a AWE and was very happy with it but it's day has passed
There are a number of capture cards that have integrated audio
My personal card is the Dazzle DVC II (see my hardware)
There are also some of the Pinnacle cards that provide MJEG capture with audio in -
Ahhh ok that makes sense, the AWE64 is an ISA card, I didn't even think of that! Yes it is definitly years old, and this is the first real problem I've had with it. Thanks for the advice!
