  1. Using ANY viewer (including Windows Media Player) I have been trying to view an AVI file I created with Video Factory 2.0. I can view 4.43 minutes of the file just fine - only thing is that it thinks there is only 4.43 minutes to the whole file.

The file is 34 minutes long - uses no compression and is 6+ gigs in size.

So my question becomes - is there a file size limit that is not allowing the viewing programs to see more than 4+ minutes of video?

If so, is there anything out there that will let me playback full screen the entire file? I can't find one.

Or is this just a fluck and there's something wrong with my file - Reason I am trying to play it back full screen is becuase I can record it onto a VCR with much better quality than burning a VCD.

    Any help is appreciated...

Hey... This probly won't help..But in my version of Wind Media Player
(7.2 or something) it often reports wrong file length...Like says that a 40 minute file is 2 minutes...
But it always plays the whole thing..In other words after it hits 2 minutes and pointer is at the end ...it just keeps playing...
Also most software dvd players have a file option that will play most formats & any size... I use Power DVD ..Havn't played a 6 gig but have played 1.1 to 1.6 gig sizes...Should play any.

  3. In the Player that comes with the ATI ALL_In-Wonder 7400 it defenetely stops playing at 4:32 seconds and acts like that was all there was to play.

I too am able to play files up to around the same as you have stated (1.2 to 1.6) without any problems - I have not tried playing the whole file in Media Player but will give that a shot when I get home tonight and post what happens.

    Thanks for the reply -
