Hi Everybody, I have read through the FAQ and 8 pages of previous posts on this forum.
Basically my problem is a common one, not being able to play VCD on my Philips 825 player. sound comes out real good, but the picture is black and white and "flickers/skips/out of sync", don't know if that is the correct terminology. I am in the US trying to play Chinese VCDs.
Questions:
Based on what I have read, I have deduced that my TV only accepts NTSC signal, while the DVD player is emitting PAL signals or that my DVD player can only emit NTSC signal while the VCD is PAL, which one is it?
Someone mentioned that Apex and GE DVD players will remedy the problem, is that true?
Will I be able to salvage things without having to buy a new TV or DVD player?
I am moving to Europe next year, which brand DVD player would be most hassle free as far as being region free and PAL/NTSC compatible?
Thanks.
