  1. I've just created my first VCD using nothing more then a few tips and freeware found here.

Now, I've got a client who'd like to get a bunch of movie trailers burned onto a CD to play back in their store.

Curently they are stuck playing the trailer on whatever DVD movie they have in the player and would like to be able to rip as many movie trailers as possible onto one CD.

Upcoming releases and current top movies would be burned on a weekly basis.

What is the easiest and simpliest tool(s) (Windows GUI) to use to snap the trailers off the DVDs and convert them to VCD or SVCD (Batch if possible) then set them up on a CD with an intro STILL then have the trailers run with a store STILL ad in between them.

The client, as usual, doesn't have alot of money and I'm doing this more for myself then the money but I would like to be able to use my existing equipment as much as possible. Maybe investing in a faster CD-RW drive.

I'd like to be able to do as much as possible with a single or no more then a couple of tools. Most of what I've read about on the site deals with alot of different tools which I would hopefully like to avoid.

Any assitance for a newbie with a goal would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

  2. I'm sure somebody else can post how to rip them from a dvd, cause I havent really done that before, but the best way to encode them is tmpgenc, you can use the program that comes with vcdeasy to convert still images to vcd mpeg movies, and then just use whatever burning program you use, and arrange it intro/trailer/still promo/trailer/still/etc. you know what I mean.
