I have a JVC DVD player that words great, but it doesn't play SVCDs, which is a feature I really needed, so after reading the compatibility list off this site, I decided to go with the pioneer dv-440. It's a great player, and it plays everything except PAL format SVCDs. I took it back and bought the pioneer dv-444, and much to my frustration, same thing. I'd like to stick with pioneer, but can anyone recommend a pioneer player that will play NTSC vcd, svcd AND PAL vcd, svcd? Thanks for your help.
