I have PowerDVD XP installed, and can play DVD's just fine through Windows Media Player. However, whenever I try play a SVCD, it can't find the correct codec. Shouldn't these also play if DVD's play ok? This is causing problems for me when I use Media Player in TSCV for chapter editing.
I was about to install a freeware codec, but would that screw up my PowerDVD XP installation?
Thanks,

Just right click on your mpeg file, and choose PowerDVD as the program to open it with. Since svcd compliant mpeg is in 480x480 resolution, I have found that when I play it using Windows Media Player the video is box shaped. PowerDVD seems to correct that problem.
