DVDx 1.08a

Hello, I am trying to rip a dvd to divx format.
I am actually following the howto from this webpage.
it tells me to run DVD Decrypter.. which I have.. successfully.
then it tells me to run DIVX bitrate calulator.. which I did.
then it tells me to run DVDx. I have tried both verions 1.8a and 1.7
problem is.. when I run the program.. open the ifo file.. change the options I need/want to change and hit okay.. it just locks the program up
not responding. anyone have any ideas what the problem may be or have experienced this themselves?
I am pretty lost and new to all of this.

Hey you might want to try and older version like 1.6 i find that the new versions somethimes gives me troubles but 1.6 never gives me problems

yea i kno the link is great has a large collection of Movies and Games
