I am ripping my 1st dvd wanting to make a vcd using the dvd rip guide given here. MY problem is the dvd2avi. I downloaded from link offered here but it doesn't off me the version that has mp3 compress. As i am using this guide and still trying to figure this all out I am at a standstill.
does anyone know where to get the dvd2avi file that includes the mp3 compression? Thanks ahead of time for any help

That caught me too. The guide on the left talks about MP3 as you stated. You can still proceed without doing the MP3 part. Instead under Audio menu item select ->track number->track 1.
and then follw guide to save project etc. This will give you a small *.D2V file and a large *.WAV file in the same folder as the ripped VOB files DO NOT DELETE these yet. If you are using Tmpgenc just point it to the two files you have created and away you go.
