I am trying to convert my analogue Hi VCR tapes onto VCD / SVCD. The video capture is fine, but I cannot consistently get the sound to synchronise. It is either perfect, or the sound is all compressed into a few garbled seconds.

I am using Belkin Videobus 2 to capture to a 1.6 GHz P4 running WinXP. I have tried capture using Win Movie Maker, MGI VideowaveIII, and Ulead DVD Moviefactory. It's the lack of consistency that's driving me up the wall !. Any suggestions ?
