    Hi...I realize I am a newbie; I have looked on this site and the different ways to convert dv images which I never realized. But here is my problem:

    I have uploaded my video to the pc using a firewire & Ulead 5.0. I transform it to an mpeg-1 file; everything is fine when I play it back. I then attempt to burn it into a VCD using Adaptec 4.02 (video).

    The problem is when I play the new VCD in my DVD player the image appears totally foreign from when I play it through the pc. I expect to lose something during conversion...but the VCD appears grey and the picture is scrambled in some places.

    Can anyone help me please!!

    try burning the vcd with nero, it has worked better for me...

    Is there a certain version of Nero I should look for? Or should I attempt something else?
