    ok i am building a system within 2 months
    specs are gonna be dual athlon, prob 1.2 or better
    at least 512 MB
    and a scsi raid hdd's

    looking for a video caputer card, the purpose of it would
    to
    1. capture from cable and possibly in future digital cable or satellite
    2. output to TV
    3. gaming is not an issue on this system

    final files will be in VCD/SVCD or DIVX codecs

    current choice of video/capture card would be the G450etv
    preferably like to hook cable right to card

    good idea/bad idea better suggestions
