Ok I am a newbie...I posted lastweek 1-2 threads but got no responses....I still have no clue what to do
First I downloaded movies already in mepg format...the sounds on my dvd player is very annoying it somethings do like a picking sounds eal loud and makes it hard to listen to the movie...I think i can make a wav sound but it seemed the same quality...I think I could reformat it again with tempeng (i think) but wouldn't I loss picture quality??? Is there any way that you can explain how to solve this problem?
Also I tried to used VCDeasy because i want to have chapters and menus(nero only menu) but it wont read my cd-rw(samsung) and it should...I downloaded the aspi patch from this site but it still doesnt work....then vcd easy says to check if
the ASPI drivers is installed with "aspichk.exe" which i did and it sayd worng installation
I installed them, withaspi32.exe but now it tells me no adaptec??? I dont get it???Please I need hlep I havent got anything done in days because I am trying to fix this matter!

well it might be best to download AVI's, lots more tools to edit these before converting.If you have any problems with Mpeg files you will need to re-encode them anyway. TMPGEnc has the ability to normalize the audio or it can be increased or decreased.
You could even save out the audio track then process it with something like www.goldwave.com
As for your aspi layer, sounds like you downloaded the wrong one

aspi_v470.exe is what you want.
