    How Do I Convert A Pal (European) to NTSC (American) format? otherwise if you do not convert it it will not play correct on your television because it is a different frequency?

    If your talking about a vcd than it should play ok. I think your DVD player should convert it. Give it a try.

    I was under that impression - but NTSC VCD will play on a PAL DVD.

    Some dvd players can play both NTSC and PAL discs.

    THey don't convert, they have full playback abilities.

    This asset seems to appear in more region hackable playables.

    Tmpgenc should convert it just fine.

    why convert if ur machine plays pal?

    I've converted a couple of hours of PAL stuff to NTSC recently. I've used a miroDC30plus to capture .avi-s, and then TMPGenc to encode. It looks and plays good.
