  2. WMP isn't a VCD player (it can't handle menus, etc). I suggest that you try using a software DVD player (e.g., WinDVD or PowerDVD).

  6. Tks for your reply.
I don't have problem with WMP... but with a LG 3351, that is a stand alone DVD reader.

    Badix,

I read that some DVD players works well with CD-RW and do not work with CD-R... other works with CD-R and not with CD-RW... try the other type of media you used before...

  8. Hi Everybody!

First. I have a MBO DVD player. It's correct, plays SVCD, Photo Album, MP3 and cheaper (cca 110USD).

Second. My WMP 6.4 don't plays VCD Photo Album. I wrote with Nero. In every situation WMP stop and signs "incorrect media type, have't decoder". I select .dat file direct. I don't now what's problem. Is it Microsoft especially?

  11. Most VCD photo albums use VCD 2.0 hi-rez stills which are actually DVD size (704x480) downsampled from whatever the source was (hopefully never upsampled).

Anyway DVD players that are VCD compatible understand this. Windows Media Player will play the DAT MPEG 1 files from a vanilla VCD but will not do these type of stills.

Tell your friend to get a software DVD player to view the disc or better yet just burn the images to a data disc with some freeware image viewing program.
