i have a weird video file

the movie file is 1h 30 min 12 seconds. if i play the movie by using vlc player and let the movie file reach the end normally then the movie closes. however, if the movie is near the end and i keep on holding the forward button then the movie starts again from the beginning and it plays at the end of the movie so the current movie time is over 1h 30 min 12 seconds and the movie length stays 1h 30 min 12 seconds. when the movie is nearing the end for the second time then nothing happens if i keep on holding the forward button and the movie will close when it reaches the end

why is this happening? is the movie file corrupted? normally if a movie is near the end and i keep on holding the forward button then the movie will close when it reaches the end
