So I made music in Reaper and can export it as whatever. Sometimes I feel like youtube is messing with the sound quality when uploaded, I know plenty of music channels have CRISP quality sound. What should I use for my music file and what should I do for my video, I have been using 48000hz ,320kbs MP3 into video editor and then 48000hz sample, acc, 320Kbs video as Mp4 h.264
what is going to retain better quality that is compatible ?

As davexnet mentioned, if you want to maximize your audio, it should be uncompressed LPCM from start to finish (at least 44.1kHz, 16bit). Finish meaning upload to YT.
Also, since YT is still a video sharing platform, that means video still takes the lion's share of the bitrate, and the trick for maintaining good vid br (use => 720p or 1080p to upload) also maintains good audio br options for DL. You can upscale still image sequence, so the vid br isn't too much.

Export the audio separately from your editor as uncompressed wav
as well as your mp4
Use mkvtoolnix, add the mp4, deselect the compressed audio, add the
uncompressed wav and save as MKV
Upload to YT -
