VidCutter 5.0.0 can't open any TS files

Today, I updates VidCutter from version 4.0.0 to 5.0.0 on Windows 10 pro 64bit. Since then, I can't open any TS files. When I try to open such a file from within VidCutter, nothing happens. When I select "open with-> VidCutter" from the Windows context menu, I get an error message: "Fatal error! Failed to execute script _main_".

I then uninstalled VidCutter and reinstalled version 5.0.0 from scratch. This did not help.

These problems did not occur with the previously installed version 4.0.0.

Try downloading a fresh copy and installing again. There was a reported problem with the Windows version which exactly matches the error you quote but it was fixed in a new release.

Try using the 32 bit version instead of 64 bit.

I just downloaded the latest version 5.0.5 and installed it on a freshly installed Windows 10 pro 64 bit. The problem remains the same

Just tested version 6.0.0 64bit on Windows 10. The problem still exists.

Use MKVToolnix GUI and remux the TS file to an MKV
