    1. I have a modded Apex AD-500wm dvd set-top player, region/macrovision free; I want to purchase R2, R4 dvd's since R2 is PAL format can I view the disk on my ntsc tv????????

    2. I have a Liteon dvd player in my pc, do I have to mod the player in order in watch & rip the R2 & R4 dvd's????????

    Please send details.

    1) If your Apex is regionfree you have nothing to worry about regarding regions, as for playback of PAL on NTSC, your DVD must be capable of doing that conversion, check the manual.

    2) If your DVD-ROM is not regionfree, it will lock up after 5 changes, if it is regionfree, then you just need something like Region Killer or DVD Genie to disable Windows own region settings.
