I have just purchased a new Toshiba sd120-eb standalone dvd player and would like to make vcd's / svcd's of my dv cam movies to watch on my tv.
I was told at time of purchase that the machine was vcd compatible and it does have a logo on the casing stating 'cdr/cdrw' compatible.
I import movies from a Panasonic DV27 cam via Windows Moviemaker and save them in Avi format. I use Nero 5.5 for burning and have purchased their MPEG2 encoder.
I have tried making both vcd's using mpeg1 and svcd's using mpeg2 on both Memorex cdr and cdrw but my dvd player shows disc error in both cases.
Has anyone had any success with this new player? Do I need to do anything else in Nero to make the discs recognisable to my player?
Thanks for any assistance.
