I recently downloaded a full-length DiVX movie that I want to turn into a VCD, but it cam with chinese subtitles. I was wondering if there is a way to get rid of them. Could someone please help me out with this?

In TMPGEnc, click the SETTING button, click the ADVANCED tab, and check and double click the CLIP FRAME setting. Next, under CLIP FRAME dialogue box, use the mask to raise the botom border to cut out the subtitles. You can use the slider to see how the image will look in different parts of the movie, and you will a get a result which is more LETTERBOXED than before, but with a little playing around, you can block out the subtitles and make a pretty good looking VCD.
