Does above camcorder have two sound channels and if so how do you display them on screen thank you

The Legria HF G40 supports pro-quality 16-bit LPCM stereo audio recording and dolby digital. These formats are fully compatible with both video-editing and audio-editing software. try audacity if you don't have an audio editor.

hi thank you for replying so quickly, however i think you did not understand my question. im not looking for an editor which i have audacity. but I want to be able to see both channels in my camcorder screen so that I can keep check on the sound, especially when I have two mics in through mixer.

The G40 records a stereo interleaved track. It does not display left and right levels separately.
