  1. hi! ok i have downloaded mpeg's from various places on the internet, KaZaA, MiRc, video websites ect... and they're all music videos, and all i wanna do is burn them onto a VCD using Nero play them on my DVD player downstairs... i live in the Uk and my DVD player is PAL and our pc is from what was Tiny in the UK, so they're all compatible... but when i was using nero it kept asking for a choice of PAl or NTSC or this or that, sorry i sound like a complete moron but can anyone help me here! what i've done so far is!:...

opened Nero and witht he Wizard made a "other formats" >> "VCD" cd...
i've dragged the video files i wanna use accross and it's at 56minutes and that's cool... then i added a menu of "9 items centre": http://www.lunarpages.com/kevreilly/vcd1.html

and then i burnt it, and then 'cause i cut out the tags on the end of the videos Nero had to re-encode them, so it did and took it's time, 2 hoursi think, then the cd burnt, and now when i put the cd in my DVD player and the one on the pc it flashed up with the menu for a second:
    http://www.lunarpages.com/kevreilly/vcd.html
but then dissapears and goes back to the DVD main menu of the actual DVD...

am i doing it wrong or are both my DVD players wrong or soemthing!? ah please help!

there a few possibiltys here. First let me say that if you need to reencode you video do it with tmpegenc as thw quailty will be better.

    now try this:

    1. do the same as usually but dont make a menu.
    2. burn it and ty it.
if that worked but you kinda want a menu than try using vcd imager or domething like that to make your menus as nero makes really crap menues.

  3. When I was testing my dvd player for VCD compatibility, I burned NTSC and PAL formats. My DVD player is NTSC since I live in America. My player worked fine with both formats. My player is an Apex AD-660.
