Anyone have problems playing authored VCD's on an Apex 1500? The problem I am running in to is .5 second constant A/V out of synch.
Using a clean MPEG with no A/V out of synch problems and VCDEasy produces an out of synch playback in the Apex. Using the same clean MPEG with no A/V synch problems, I am able to create a SVCD with VCDEasy that plays back with no problems...
Am I looking at just a player issue? Or is there something I am missing during the authoring?

You are missing something... or I'm misinterpreting your post.
You can only use MPEG-1 for VCD and MPEG-2 for SVCD. They are mutually exclusive.
Thus, if you are using the same source file for both VCD and SVCD, you are using the wrong format video file for one of your discs -- and not surprisingly, one of them didn't work properly.
