avi to vcd problem 'purple' build up. smr movie.

I'm having trouble converting an SmR Movie (avi) to a mpg (VCD). It used to work fine, but know when i encode, a purple colour builds up on the screen. I have all the correct codecs and i am using tmpgenc 2.53 to encode. the audio is fine. during play back i have no problems and no purple crap. When i encode using differnet the same thing happens. I have tryed Xing, and avi2vcd.

Does any one know what to do, i really need to convert it to a VCD, so it will play in my DVD player. Any help would be appreciated greatly!

I remember a while back when I first discovered this site that someone else had the same problem (me too). One of the "wise men" said to uninstall angelpotion.....I did....it worked.
