  1. What is the best media to burn (S)VCD's? I've been using Memorex CD-RW's burning with Nero. No other media seems to play on my DVD (GE 1105P). I need your advice

  2. Imation 32x CD-R media works extremely well burning at max (20x) on my Philips CDRW2010. I'm on my second spindle of 100 ($10 and $15 after rebates at BestBuy).

About 115-120 burned so far and no coasters yet (!) burning VCDs, and a couple of SVCD's (encoded with either UVS6 or TMPGEnc) with Ulead Video Studio 6's VCD/SVCD/DVD creation/burn wizard (easy menu creation, easy chapter point specification).
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  3. Hello, i bought whatz called brand name- Generic of 400 for $76 at www.memorymedia.com

They were rated at 24x max silver grade A.

I tested these out to their max and i have burned them at 32x with no problems ever.
    Burning and playback is fine.

Max overburn size is 830mb even.

  4. Thanks! I've tried the Imation, and they burn extremely well, but they unfortunately don't play in my GE DVD (I guess I should get one that costs more than $100). Is there any other media that most (or all) DVD's recognize, or is it just dependent upon the DVD. Memorex CDRW's work in all DVD's I've tried, but they don't burn too well. I have enough Memorex coasters to host the world frisbee championships! 8)
    Thanks All
