i need to reinstall my o/s... but unfortunatly my floppy drive is dead.. also, i'm too cheap to buy a floppy drive.. but what would work out really great for me would be a bootable cd-rom, like a win98 boot cd image that i could burn through nero..

will someone help me out here?i will definetly make it worth your time..

thanks for the link... but i really couldnt find anything i was looking for.. most of them require a floppy drive, which i dont have.. so, i'm still looking for someone to procure me a disc image of a win98 boot disc... either a nero image file, cdrwin bin/cue, clonecd ccd image, iso, or blindr/w image...

ShiZZZoN has told me something interesting to tell you.

He has the Win2000 professional cd.

He has told me that the win2000 cd can auto reformat your computer using fat32 or ntfs depending on what u want to do.

After formatting, immediately turn the pc off.

Take the OS cd you want to install and stick it in the pc when u turn it back on, once it has read it, restart the pc.

It should autoboot the cdrom drive and install whatever OS you want.

not that its not a good idea... but transferring the win2k cd would be a pain in the ass.. along with the fact that i dont own win2k, making it illegal.. i'm just looking for a cd disc image of a win98 boot disk.. this really shouldnt be a big deal for anyone with a win98 boot disk laying around.. just load up nero, make a bootable cd using the image writer..

Win98 CDs are bootable. Just set your BIOS to boot from CDROM.

all i have are the win98 cabs on a cd-r.. i dont have the actual disc, its broken.. now if someone would help me out here and give me a disc image of win98 boot cd, that would be great..
