    Newbie here. I've converted a few files to VCD and SVCD format using TMPGEnc, but then what do you do? Do you just rename the extension from .mpg to .dat and put it on the CD? Or do you need the directory structure that normal VCDs have? Do you need the other files in the other folders that some store bought VCDs have? Hmmmmmmmmm.......

    Look at guide under author to the left

  3. VCDs are not CD-ROMs.

    You MUST author a VCD with a program that knows what a VCD is... For example, use the VCD template/option/wizard in Nero, Easy CD Creator, WinOnCD or a more specialised VCD authoring program like VCDImager (+/- GUI like VCD Easy or TSCV), VideoPack5, others.
